This picture has been stuck in my phone for a long time, and I finally downloaded it the other day. It is the first picture we have, that was taken right after his birth. Look at that sad face!

Carter watches the Dallas Cowboys with me every Sunday now. I have been looking forward to this kind of father-son bonding for a long time! It is great to see him get so excited about something like football. Here he is ready to watch his favorite player:

After many late nights and early mornings without much reward, Beckett has started smiling and cooing. It is so wonderful to have little “conversations” with him. He has the best smile and loves to talk! He has been smiling for about a month, but I have had the hardest time catching it on video. Every time I whip out the camera he clams up. I finally was sneaky and held it out to the side while I talked to him. Here is the video:
