Our 3rd and 4th grade boys soccer team finished their season this past Saturday. They ended on a good note with a win. At least we think they won–our league? doesn’t keep scores or standings so we are not totally sure.? The league? was run through our church? as an Upward program, which is focused as much on spiritual growth and good? character as it is on the game. We thoroughly enjoyed our first coaching experience, and it was? a joy? to get to know each of the hyperactive boys.? Seeing how much they improved just from game to game was amazing! We hope to coach again next year…

There is a new member of? our Jones household as of last week! His name is Herbie. Herbie the turtle.

We found him swimming in our apartment community swimming pool and he looked like he needed a home.? Coincidentally,? our betta fish, Mango Tango, went missing? the third day after Herbie? joined him in the fish bowl. We are not sure where our fish went, but we did finally get Herbie some turtle food from the pet store. He eats the food sticks like a hot dog, holding it in his hand!

Lacey graduates on Saturday! No more Grad school! Wahoooo!!!!!

Yesterday,? Lacey and I along with “The Inspectigator” spent over half the day inspecting our potential first house. I learned? a lot. I never new you needed to “water? the foundation”? or how to tell if your dryer vent is clogged. In the end it actually went really well. The Inspectigator’s findings were all minor. There were only a couple things that we asked the sellers to fix: three window screens need to be replaced, and some of the foundation cables? are showing and need to be re-grouted. In fact, they have already signed the addendum with these requests.

Also, we finally finished our monster loan application. Hopefully, all the rest will go smoothly and we will be homeowners on the 10th of June!
